* Fitness Level 2 – Easy - Suitable for travellers with a good basic level of fitness. Expect regular walking throughout the day, occasional stairs and gentle inclines. Most sightseeing is on paved surfaces, although some uneven paths and cobblestones may be encountered. You should be comfortable remaining on your feet for moderate periods and independently boarding and disembarking various forms of transport.
Itinerary
Day 1 Wednesday 11th November
Melbourne - Rutherglen (L, D)
Depart Southern Cross Station at 9:00 AM, leaving the city behind for a mid-week road trip to the Rutherglen Wine Region. We head north for a relaxed, authentic country lunch at a historic regional venue. Yes its the iconic Seven Creeks Hotel in Euroa. Click here.
In the afternoon, we step inside a stunningly restored 1920s flour mill on the Murray river where we will be guided through an exclusive pairing of premium craft whiskey and artisanal Belgian chocolates. At this gem, click here.
We then check into our luxury vineyard accommodations in Rutherglen just in time for a private estate welcome, gathering in a historic 1886 cellar complex for a complimentary tasting of premium, world-class estate wines. At 6:30 PM, we meet in the cozy estate wine bar for a celebratory welcome drink before sitting down together at the De Bortoli Rutherglen Estate Restaurant. Click here.

Day 2 Thursday 12th November
Rutherglen - Melbourne (B,L)
We wake up surrounded by vines and begin our morning with a relaxed, hot gourmet breakfast and espresso before we check out. Next, we spend a leisurely morning exploring the historic gold-rush strip of Rutherglen to browse boutique giftware stores and the wine experience at the information centre.
From there, we travel south into the heart of the gourmet Milawa hub, stepping inside a heritage butter factory to enjoy a curated tasting of award-winning, entirely handmade cow and goat milk cheeses.
The culinary treats continue at Fowles, an award-winning, architecturally striking winery where we will indulge in a, farm-to-table menu showcasing sustainable, estate-raised seasonal dining.
