Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday 3 February 2024

Phillip Island, Churchill Island, Penguin Parade

Meet your hostess at the T intersection of Lonsdale and Spencer St, and travel onboard the Rosa coach to Phillip Island. From Phillip Island, we will cross the bridge to Churchill Island for the monthly farmers market. Explore the historical grounds and farming activities, walk the bay trails soaking in the tranquil scenery and the bird-watching huts, and relax on the deck of the café for lunch (own expense).

During the afternoon we will travel to Cowes and check into our motel, located across the road from the beach. There will be some free time to explore the local cafe and shopping precinct. At dusk we head to Summerland Beach to the Premium Penguins Plus viewing platform, offering great views of the beach, along with up-close viewing of the little penguins as they waddle along the most popular pathway at the Penguin Parade.

Following the penguin parade we will go to the RSL for dinner.

Day 2 Sunday 4 February 2024

Cape Woolamai

Breakfast in the hotel before setting off to Cape Woolamai, and walking to the highest point on Phillip Island. The walk will be at your own pace and you can decide if you prefer a short stroll or a longer trek. Cape Woolamai offers spectacular coastal views and is home for up to a million shearwaters between October and April each year. This area is a hiker's delight with an array of walks to choose from. We will also find time to visit the local Chocolate factory!

A good walk deserves a decent lunch! On our way back to Melbourne we will be lunching at the Korrumburra Middle Hotel, WINNER - 2021 & 2022 Australian Hotels Association "Peoples Choice Award" Voted #1 pub in Victoria.

Arrive back at the T intersection of Lonsdale St and Spencer St at 5.00 pm.
