Day 1 - Friday 26 February 2027
Melbourne - Hobart (D)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Meet your Sisterhood Tour Hostess at the Melbourne Airport for our short flight to Tasmania.
Welcome to Tasmania’s capital city, Hobart, and the beginning of our Tasmanian gourmet luxury escape, where we immerse ourselves in spectacular scenery, gourmet delights and luxury accommodation.
Our adventure begins with a greeting at the airport, then continues through the beautiful Coal Valley to the charming town of Richmond. This perfectly preserved colonial village is rich in history, home to Australia’s oldest bridge and more than 50 Georgian buildings. We’ll have time to wander at leisure, exploring the galleries, cafes and historic streets that make Richmond so special.
From here, we continue into Hobart, crossing the Tasman Bridge to our luxury waterfront accommodation, the storytelling hotel MACq 01 Hotel, where every detail reflects Tasmania’s rich heritage and unique character. We’ll enjoy a guided storytelling tour with the hotel’s Master Storyteller, uncovering the fascinating patchwork of stories and personalities woven throughout the property.
Later this afternoon, we may choose to enjoy drinks (own expense) in the hotel’s famous Evolve Spirits Bar, renowned for its extraordinary collection of fossils and artefacts from around the world, before gathering together for dinner this evening in the Old Wharf Restaurant.

Day 2 - Saturday 27 February 2027
Salamanca Market - Bruny Island - Mt Nelson (B, D)
This morning, we will spend time at the famous Salamanca Market, with over 200 stalls there is something for everyone, browse the stalls laden with fresh produce, handmade products and gift ideas.
Afterwards, we travel south to Kettering to board the ferry and cross the beautiful D’Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island. Not only can Bruny Island boast some of Tasmania’s most superb scenery of sweeping beaches, mountains and spectacular capes and bays, but it also has a fascinating history. Notable early visitors include Captain Furneaux (1773) Captain Cook (1777) and Bligh (1788 & 1792) in the ‘Bounty’ planted Tasmania's first apple tree. We arrive at Roberts Point on North Bruny and tour south with a stop at "The Neck" for fabulous views from the lookout. Continue on to scenic Adventure Bay and admire the pristine beach, where we will stop for lunch at Pennicott Restaurant (own expense) which prides itself on offering the freshest local produce overlooking the bay.
After lunch, we visit Bruny Island Chocolate, which offers a superb quality range of fudge, truffles and chocolate sauces. Next stop is Inala Nature to tour the Jurassic Garden, which has a collection of over 750 species of plants that have connections to the Gondwanan Supercontinent (about 185 million years ago).
On return to the ferry, there is an optional stop at the Oyster and Honey Farm. We then travel back to Kettering and on to Hobart, via Mt Nelson Lookout, to take in the panoramic views of the city and Derwent Estuary.
After a full day's touring, we will return to our hotel with time to freshen up before dinner at a nearby iconic local restaurant.

Day 3 - Sunday 28 February 2027
Relaxed Day in Hobart (B)
Today will be a relaxed day in Hobart. Start the day with a trip up Kunanyi (Mt Wellington) to enjoy panoramic views of the Derwent Estuary and channel.
Next, we will tour the Cascades Female Factory to hear the dramatic and heartfelt story of the convict women and girls who contributed to Australian colonisation.
Afterwards, feel free to wander Constitution Dock and other parts of Hobart's beautiful waterfront, and visit the many shops in the CBD or join the "posh pit" on an optional (own expense) return ferry voyage to the unique yet controversial MONA museum.
Dinner tonight will be your choice - your Sisterhood hostess will suggest a venue.

Day 4 - Monday 1 March 2027
Great Eastern Drive - Sea Salt - Freycinet National Park (B, D)
Leaving Hobart, we travel north along the Great Eastern Drive through the town of Orford and on to the quaint fishing town of Triabunna, sitting at the edge of Spring Bay and the gateway to Maria Island National Park.
Enjoy a tour of the innovative, clean energy salt works at Tasman Sea Salt and learn about sea salt harvesting. Afterwards, participate in an immersive "Salt Sommelier" experience, sampling small bites paired with sea salts and locally sourced produce. Wine tasting is also available (at your own expense).
We have a short stop at Spiky Bridge, a convict-built structure from local fieldstones, before we enjoy lunch (own expense) at a spectacular vineyard with panoramic views.
Freycinet National Park is our final destination for the day. Visit the unique visitor centre and walk along Richardson’s Beach, with its stunning backdrop of the Hazards granite Mountain range rising from the sheltered turquoise bays.
Check in to the magnificent Freycinet Lodge, overlooking the waters of Great Oyster Bay, and connect with the stunning natural environment in secluded, stylish and comfortable cabin accommodation. This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the "Bay Restaurant".

Day 5 - Tuesday 2 March 2027
Wineglass Bay Cruise - Cape Tourville (B, L, D)
This morning, we'll join a cruise to view the spectacular coastline of Freycinet National Park and to see the iconic Wineglass Bay from the water. Enjoy the vessel Schouten Passage II, a Tasmanian-built catamaran ideal for exploring the east coast of Tasmania. As Sky Lounge passengers, enjoy a gourmet morning tea, lunch and beverages. The waters surrounding Freycinet National Park are home to diverse and remarkable wildlife. Keep a lookout for sea eagles roosting on the granite cliffs, pods of dolphins surfing the bow wave and Australian fur seals hauling out along the coast. Join the search for humpback and southern right whales as they migrate. Also watch for diverse birdlife, including albatross, shearwaters, diving gannets and little penguins.
After our cruise, we visit Cape Tourville Lighthouse and Lookout for an easy walk that offers remarkable coastal views. The remainder of the afternoon is then free for us to enjoy the National Park or relax at our accommodation before dinner in the restaurant.

Day 6 - Wednesday 3 March 2027
Heritage Highway - Ross - Launceston (B, D)
After a leisurely start, we travel the Heritage Highway visiting the historic town of Ross, noted for its historic bridge, original sandstone buildings and convict history. Enjoy a famous vanilla slice or scallop pie at the bakery (own expense) with its original wood-fired oven, and wander the streets looking at the heritage-listed buildings.
Afterwards, travel north to the city of Launceston. After an introductory tour of the city, we visit the beautiful Cataract Gorge with its cliff-side gardens, peacocks, pools, suspension foot bridge and one of the longest single span chairlifts in the world (ride is optional and at own expense).
We then settle into our stylish accommodation on the banks of the Tamar River.
Our final dinner together will be a shared plates dinner at the Hotel Restaurant "Grain of the Silos".

Day 7 - Thursday 4 March 2027
Tamar Valley - Seahorses - Vineyard - Home (B, L)
We start our day on the eastern banks of the Tamar River, where we visit Hillwood Berry Farm for morning tea (own expense) and the chance to pick our own fresh berries straight from the vine. We cross the striking Batman Bridge and travel to Beauty Point to dive into the depths of the Southern Ocean at Seahorse World, a working marine conservation centre. Discover the lifecycle of the mysterious seahorse and enjoy the rare chance to hold one gently in your palm.
We continue along the Tamar River to arrive at a boutique vineyard, nestled in rolling hills and a perfect spot to savour the essence of the Tamar wine region. Enjoy a vineyard platter with wine before travelling to the Launceston airport for our short flight home.
