Day 1 - Monday 19 April 2027
Melbourne Tulllamarine Airport - King Island (L, D)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Join your Sisterhood Hostess and fellow travellers at Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) for your flight to King Island. Upon arrival, our experience begins with a warm welcome on arrival, followed by a short transfer into Currie, the island’s main township. The morning includes a guided tour of Currie, introducing the town’s history, landmarks, and coastal setting, before allowing time to explore the township at our own pace, browse local shops, or simply enjoy the relaxed island atmosphere.
After checking in, we'll enjoy lunch at Currie Harbour, taking in views across the working waterfront. The afternoon continues with a visit to a local market garden, where a King Islander shares insights into biodynamic food production and sustainable growing practices. This is followed by a visit to a nearby homestead, where a local farmer living a largely subsistence lifestyle offers a genuine glimpse into self-sufficiency and everyday life on the island.
Our day concludes with time to unwind before enjoying a welcome dinner at Island Breeze, followed by a restful night, ready for more adventures to come.
