Activity Level:
This tour is perfect for travellers with an easy level of fitness who enjoy relaxed sightseeing, wildlife experiences and beautiful natural surroundings. Much of the journey is undertaken by coach, ferry, 4WD vehicle and cruise vessel, with gentle walking while exploring Noosa, Australia Zoo and the natural attractions of K’gari. Travellers should be comfortable walking at a leisurely pace, boarding and disembarking coaches, ferries, cruise vessels and 4WD vehicles independently, and negotiating occasional steps, sandy surfaces and uneven natural pathways. The full-day K’gari 4WD tour can involve a bumpy ride over sand, but there are no strenuous walks or compulsory hiking activities.

Additional Meal Allowance:
Breakfast is included daily, together with a generous selection of lunches and dinners throughout our getaway. This leaves just a handful of meals to enjoy independently while exploring the Sunshine Coast and K’gari. For comfortable budgeting, we recommend allowing approximately AUD200 per person for meals not included, together with coffees, drinks and incidental snacks throughout the tour. Travellers wishing to enjoy regular alcoholic beverages or additional café and restaurant visits may wish to allow a little extra.

Day 1 - Saturday 24 July 2027
Melbourne - Sunshine Coast (D)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Your tour hostess and fellow travellers will meet you at the designated departure point at Melbourne Airport for your flight to the Sunshine Coast. Sit back, relax and enjoy your flight.
Upon arrival, we are met by our coach captain and travel to the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Enjoy the scenic views, browse the boutiques and purchase an afternoon treat in Montville before arriving in Noosa Heads to check into our accommodation.

Day 2 - Sunday 25 July 2027
Sunshine Coast Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast today, we travel to the famous Australia Zoo. See over 1,200 animals, including those found in our African Savannah and South-East Asia. Enjoy one of the conservation shows and purchase lunch before travelling back to our resort.
We arrive back at the resort for an afternoon at leisure before dinner in the restaurant.

Day 3 - Monday 26 July 2027
Noosa - Hervey Bay - K'Gari (B, D)
This morning, we begin our journey to K’gari via Hervey Bay, and enjoy lunch (own cost) before boarding the ferry over to Kingfisher Bay Resort. We check into our rooms mid-afternoon before enjoying a pre-dinner beverage of beer, wine or soft drink and indulging in an Asian-inspired Dune Buffet in the Ballroom.
Following dinner, experience the Illumina ‘Return to Sky’ light show — a captivating story of K’gari’s regeneration, showcased from our sustainably built amphitheatre. This 20-minute spectacle is Queensland's first permanent light, laser and projection installation of its kind.

K’gari, meaning “paradise” in the language of the Butchulla people, is the world’s largest sand island and one of Australia’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Despite being entirely composed of sand, it supports lush rainforests, ancient satinay trees, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and flowing creeks. Its coastline doubles as a highway, where planes can land on the firm sands of Seventy Five Mile Beach. Home to pure-bred dingoes and the iconic Maheno Shipwreck, K’gari is a UNESCO World Heritage site that feels both wild and deeply peaceful. In this place, nature truly defies expectation.
Day 4 - Tuesday 27 July 2027
K'Gari Sightseeing (B, L, D)
Today, we set out on a full-day 4WD Beauty Spots tour, including lunch to explore the natural highlights that make K’gari so extraordinary. Enjoy a buffet lunch at Kingfisher Bay Resort before visiting iconic sites including the crystal-clear waters of Lake McKenzie, the tranquil rainforest of Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek, the towering trees of Pile Valley, the haunting Maheno Shipwreck, the sweeping sands of Seventy-Five Mile Beach and the refreshing flow of Eli Creek.
This evening, gather for a pre-dinner drink before indulging in a festive Christmas buffet in the Ballroom, complete with a special gift. Add a little friendly competition with a fun trivia game — the winning table will enjoy a sweet reward.

Day 5 - Wednesday 28 July 2027
K'Gari Sightseeing - Whale Watching (B, L, D)
This morning, we set off on a memorable Whale Watch Cruise, where light refreshments are served as we scan the waters for these magnificent, gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Returning to the resort, enjoy a relaxed lunch before spending the afternoon at leisure, exploring the K’gari World Heritage Centre and deepening our understanding of the island’s rich natural and cultural history.
In the late afternoon, experience a fascinating bush tucker talk and tasting, learning about native foods and traditional knowledge. The day concludes with a relaxed Aussie BBQ buffet, the perfect way to unwind and share stories from another beautiful day on K’gari.

Day 6 - Thursday 29 July 2027
K'Gari - Noosa (B, D)
This morning, we bid farewell to our K’gari hosts before boarding the ferry back to Hervey Bay.
On arrival, we are met by our coach captain and continue south to the beautiful township of Cooroy. Browse the beautiful while wandering through this country coastal town. Arriving back in Noosa, we check into our accommodation in the early afternoon.
This evening, we come together one last time for a farewell dinner in the resort restaurant, a relaxed and fitting conclusion to our shared journey.

Noosa - Home (B)
