Upon arrival, we'll be met by our coach captain and make our way across to the Atura Hotel for lunch. This afternoon, we travel down through the McLaren Vale Wine Region, stopping at the unique d’Arenberg Cube for tastings and great views across the vineyards of the wine region.

The Alternate Realities Museum is well worth exploring before we continue our drive down to Victor Harbor for check-in. After a chance to freshen up, we gather in the McCracken Bar and Grill for dinner.

Overnight: Victor Harbor: McCracken Country Club Resort (or similar)

Day 2 - Saturday 22 November 2025

Goolwa - Murray Mouth Cruise - Cockle Train (B,D)

After breakfast, we head across to the Murray River Port of Goolwa to take a stroll around the historic port before boarding our Spirit of the Coorong Murray Mouth Cruise. Our informative cruise takes us towards the Goolwa Barrage, through the lock chamber and down to sea level before meandering along the waterways of the Coorong as we follow the last few kilometres of the mighty Murray River to the Murray Mouth and its opening to the Southern Ocean.

Following our cruise, we board our scenic rail journey onboard the Cockle Train and travel along the oldest steel railway in Australia, dating back to 1854, which takes us along the top of the coastal cliffs to experience the most picturesque coastal scenery on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

After disembarking in Victor Harbor, we enjoy some free time along the waterfront precinct to purchase some refreshments before taking a look inside the National Trust Museum and Customs House. Those wishing may purchase a ticket to ride the horse-drawn tram to Granite Island. Late afternoon, we return to our accommodation and enjoy some time to relax before dinner.

Day 3 - Sunday 23 November 2025

Cape Jervis - Kangaroo Island (B,L,D)

Today we travel down to Cape Jervis to board the Kangaroo Island Sea Link Ferry for our crossing to Kangaroo Island. After our arrival in Penneshaw we begin our adventure of the Island as we make our way to the Raptor Domain and Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. Here we step inside the KI Wildlife Park for our Interactive Experience, which allows us to experience the park at our own pace and leisure. Enjoy a 15-minute koala talk and interaction with the experienced staff, get to hold a koala and hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies.

Following our own light lunch, we step inside the Raptor Domain for the Free Flight Birds of Prey Display, see the cockatoos fly throughout the crowd, spot the camouflaged tawny frogmouths and volunteer holding a range of birds including owls, meet wedgetailed eagles and learn how everyone can help care for and save these incredible birds.

Our last stop for the day is at Clifford’s Honey Farm where we learn about the Ligurian Bees, their breeding, and the production of the pure honey. We also get to taste the different honey varieties and enjoy some of Jenny’s famous honey ice cream. Across Kingscote we check in for our 2-night Kangaroo Island stay before gathering for dinner in the restaurant.

Day 4 - Monday 24 November 2025

Kangaroo Island (B,L,D)

Another wonderful day begins as we head down to the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery where incredibly, the distilling process operates exactly as it did in the 1890’s.

After our tour and cuppa, we continue down to the magnificent Flinders Chase National Park which is recovering naturally following the January 2020 bushfires which burnt 96 per cent of the park. The park is home to the Cape du Couedic Lighthouse and keeper’s residences, New Zealand Fur Seals, Admirals Arc and Weirs Cove plus the spectacular Remarkable Rocks.

Inside the new state-of-the-art Flinders Chase National Park Visitors Centre, built with a $19.5 million investment after the devastating 2019 – 20 bushfires, we enjoy lunch from The Rocks Cafe and view the stunning interpretation gallery that connects visitors with the park through the fusion of science and art.

We then leave Flinders Chase and make our way up to the Emu Bay Lavender Farm for a little shopping, to learn about lavender production and taste some homemade goodies before returning to our accommodation with time to freshn up before dinner.

We then we head back across to Penneshaw to board the 10.30am Kangaroo Island Sea Link Ferry, for our return journey to Cape Jervis. From Cape Jervis we head up to Australia’s oldest surviving German Village, Hahndorf.  Upon arrival, we make our way to Beerenberg Family Farm to enjoy a high tea before touring the Cedars, home and grounds of famed 20th-century landscape painter Hans Heysen.

We then leave the Adelaide Hills and make our way into the iconic Barossa Valley Wine Region for check in and freshen up before dinner.

Day 6 - Wednesday 26 November 2025

Barossa Valley Gourmet Trail (B,L,D)

At Maggie Beers we enjoy a brief talk on the history of the property and Maggie’s culinary career plus spend some time in the gourmet gift shop.

We then visit the historic Seppeltsfield Estate for a delicious ‘Barossa Style Lunch’ followed by a ‘Grand Insight Tour and Tastings’, which includes a behind the scenes look through the estate’s treasure trove of historical buildings.

Our last stop for the day is at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company where we partake in a Wine and Chocolate Paring Experience. Learn how to taste chocolate and wine together with this sensory tasting, featuring five Barossa Vineyard Road wines alongside White, Ruby, Milk and Dark chocolates. After a day to remember, we check into our Barossa motel before dinner at Angus and Co.
