Day 1 - Sunday 21 October 2018

Melbourne - Mauritius (B,D)

Welcome to your next Sisterhood Adventure!  Join your tour hostess and fellow travellers at the Melbourne Airport for your flight to Mauritius (via Perth).  Sit back relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment of your airline as we head towards Paradise!  Upon arrival into Mauritius we'll be transferred to our hotel with time to settle in before dinner.  Welcome to Mauritius!

Overnight - Le Meridien Ile Maurice 
This property stands at the edge of 1000 metres of sparkling ivory sands in the bay of Pointe Aux Piments.  Beautiful gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a serene getaway.

Day 2 - Monday 22 October 2018

Sightseeing in Mauritius

Today, we'll enjoy a full day's touring.  Including Curepipe, Floreal, Phoenix Glass Gallery, Quatre-Bornes Market & Bagatelle.  We'll vsit the Mauritius Glass Gallery in Phoenix where a team of local craftsmen can be seen bringing glass back to life using traditional techniques.  Next, visit the residential sub Floreal to discover nice shops. Stop at the centre of the town Curepipe to visit a ship model factory and to shop around.  After Curepipe, we'll heaad to Quatre Bornes to visit a local market. Our last stop for the day is the Bagatelle shopping mall.  Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius is Mauritius’ leading shopping and retail destination.

Day 3 - Tuesday 23 October 2018

At Leisure (B,D)

Today you'll have the opportunity to make the most of our resorts facilities including glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling, kayaks, windsurfing.  At the end of the day we'll regroup and enjoy dinner and catch up about the day's experiences.

Day 4 - Wednesday 24 October 2018

Ile Aux Cerfs Day Tour (B,L,D)

This morning we'll enjoy a full day Speedboat to Ile aux Cerfs tour.  We'll enjoy a speedboat ride along the scenic coast inside the lagoon up to the nautical paradise of Ile aux Cerfs.  Be fascinated by the white sandy beaches and the emerald lagoon.  The fully equipped boat house and small beach bars on the water front will be at our disposal.  Time will be allowed to walk and discover the island, swimming and sun bathing.  We'll visit the beautiful Grand Riviere Sud Est waterfalls before enjoying a BBQ Lunch and unlimited local drinks (beer, rum, housewine, soft drinks and water) will be served at Ilot Mangenie.  We'll head back around 4pm with dinner tonight at our hotel.

Day 5 - Thursday 25 October Day 6 - Friday 26 October 2018

Free Days in Mauritius (B,D)

For the next two days we'll again have the opportunity to make the most of our resorts facilities.  How about a visit to the day spa, a relax on the beautiful beach or back to the water to resume your watersport options.

Each Night we'll regroup and share the day's experiences over dinner at our hotel.

Day 7 - Saturday 27 October 2018

Stone Town (B)

This morning we'll be transferred to the airport for our fight to Zanzibar.  Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. On its main island, Unguja, familiarly called Zanzibar, is Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences. Its winding lanes present minarets, carved doorways and 19th-century landmarks such as the House of Wonders, a former sultan’s palace.  Upon our arrival we'll enjoy an afternoon guided tour of Stone Town and its buildings ,that are full of history and stories of the old times on Zanzibar, when Sultans, Arabs, Europeans and Zanzibaris wrote the history of this beautiful island.  Visit the Anglican Cathedral, the Slave markets, the Palace of the Sultans, Tip Tip’s House, the Old Arabic Fort, Forodhani Park and of course the famous Zanzibar Doors in petite little streets.  Enjoy a walk through the long history of Zanzibar and its numerous rulers.  Dinner tonight at leisure with a range of options available at our resort.

Day 8 - Sunday 28 October 2018

Stone Town (B)

Today, we'll enjoy a half day guided tour of Stone Town and its buildings that are full of history and stories of the old times on Zanzibar, when Sultans, Arabs, Europeans and Zanzibaris wrote the history of this beautiful island.  Visit the Anglican Cathedral, the Slave markets, the Palace of the Sultans, Tip Tip’s House, the Old Arabic Fort, Forodhani Park and of course the famous Zanzibar Doors in petite little streets.  Enjoy a walk through the long history of Zanzibar and its numerous rulers.

Time at leisure to enjoy lunch (own expense).

This afternoon, we'll enjoy a half day tour of a local spice farm and learn about each and every spice that is found in Zanzibar.  Did you know that the Cinnamon Tree has 3 different smells?  Or green, red and black pepper is the same plant?  Would you recognise vanilla and why it is so expensive?  At the conclusion of our tour, fully packed with nature’s secrets,we'll have time to buy spices, soaps and crèmes which are all hand made by the community within the farm and also enjoy a fun lesson on traditional weaving.

Day 9 - Monday 29 October 2018

Stone Town - Kiwengwa (B,D)

Today after breakfast we'll check out and transfer to the North East Coast for our 4 night stay in Kiwengwa.  Kiwengwa's position on a beautiful stretch of coast means it's ideal for swimming and snorkelling, while hotels can arrange diving and all the usual marine-based activities.

Day 10 - Tuesday 30 October 2018 - Day 12 Thursday 1 November 2018

Kiwengwa (B,D)

For the next 3 days we are free to explore at leisure.  Make the most of the resort facilities including the Oasis Spa at Bluebay.  This spa takes pampering to a new level!  The Spa idylically situated right on the beach where the cool breeze and sounds of the ocean provide you with ultimate experience in relaxation.  You have the opportunity to SCUBA dive off one of the local atols or snorkel in the nearby crystal blue waters.  Each night we'll regroup for dinner to share the day's experiences.

Day 13 - Friday 2 November 2018

Kiwengwa - Stone Town (B,D)

After breakfast we'll make our way back to Stone Town and enjoy a tour of the Butterfly Centre followed by a visit to the Jozani Forest.  The beautiful Zanzibar Butterfly Centre near Jozani- Chwaka Bay National Park contains all native species to Zanzibar.  Butterfly farming in Zanzibar requires intact forest, thus providing an economic incentive to conserve habitats.  Zanzibar woman have the rare opportunity to participate, as farming can be carried out at home fitted around childcare and domestic duties.  Feed the butterflies and watch them fly close at hand while enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.

We'll then continue onto Jozani National Park.  During a guided journey through the forest learn about the different species of monkeys unique to Zanzibar.  After the forest tour and a short hop to the other side of the national park, there is an opportunity to uncover the magical world of the Zanzibar Mangroves.  A walk along the wooden trail will show thousands of crabs at work under the mangroves, and if you’re lucky you might even be able to hear the mangroves talking.

Tonight an amazing farewell dinner.  We'll dine at the Rock Restaurant, a world-famous restaurant, known not only for its extraordinary location, but also its fabulous food inspired by the natural resources, a twist of Zanzibar, and Italian love.  Only Mother Nature could reach such heights and present one of the world’s most unique and beautiful locations for a restaurant.  One of Zanzibar’s top attractions, The Rock team combines local spices, flavours and foods from the sea and/or land, to present some time familiar dishes with a twist, a new preparation, a local taste.  Depending on the tide, you’ll have either a 360-degree ocean view, or half ocean and half white sand beach with swaying palms. Wade out, boat out, walk out – a memorable exprerience awaits.

Day 14 - Saturday 3 November 2018

This morning we farewell Zanzibar and make our way back to the airport to begin our journey home.  Sit back and enjoy the inflight entertainment of our airlines as we head towards home.
