** Local tipping is customary in Canada.  Sisterhood Womens Travel's tipping system on this particular tour involves passengers contributing to a kitty which is paid to the tour hostess at the beginning of the tour, who will then distribute it to service providers on your behalf. This avoids the need for you to consider individual tipping situations daily throughout your trip. The estimated amount of tips for your tour is CAD130 (Approx AUD140) and this will be confirmed in your final documentation.  


A minimum level of fitness is required to be able to participate. As a minimum you will need to be able to walk 2km on uneven ground, carry your own luggage and walk up a few flights of stairs.

Melbourne - Toronto (Meals inflight, D)

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel!  Meet your Sisterhood Tour Hostess and fellow travellers at Melbourne Airport for our flight to Toronto via Vancouver.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment as we head towards Canada.  Upon arrival into Toronto we'll be transferred to our hotel.

A welcome dinner is included tonight.

Day 2 - Monday 13 September 2021

Toronto (B)

This morning we'll enjoy a half day City Tour of Toronto.  See the sights of Canada’s largest and most diverse city. Highlights include the CN Tower (elevation included), harbour front, downtown entertainment and financial district, City Hall, Ontario Legislature, University of Toronto, Eaton Centre, Bloor-Yorkville shopping district and the Lawrence Market.

The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore.  Dinner at leisure.

Day 3 - Tuesday 14 September 2021

Toronto - Niagara Falls (B)

This morning we'll depart for Niagara Falls. First stop is the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake on the shoreline of Lake Ontario. After a walk on the shore we'll travel on the scenic Niagara Parkway alongside the gorge to Niagara Falls. Upon arrival in Niagara Falls, we'll meet our local guide and enjoy an orientation tour of the town.  Dinner at leisure.

Day 4 - Wednesday 15 September 2021

Niagara Falls (B)

After breakfast we'll enjoy a thrilling ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise and the Niagara Falls Sky Wheel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore.

Day 5 - Thursday 16 September 2021

Niagara Falls - Charlottetown (B)

Today we farewell Niagara Falls and fly to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, upon arrival we will met and taken on a city tour of Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation.  See Victoria Row, Confederation Centre of the Arts, the waterfront area and more.

Day 6 - Friday 17 September 2021

Charlottetown (B)

Today there will be plenty of time to explore some key parts of this island province on the North Shore.  Drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic books.  There’ll be plenty of time to stroll on the beach and learn some of the history behind the beloved Anne with an “e” and make other stops of interest to enhance the day.

Day 7 - Saturday 18 September 2021

Charlottetown - Baddeck (B)

Wake up, enjoy breakfast and then we'll ferry over the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America, via the Canso Causeway.  We'll visit Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to learn about the many accomplishments this genius made from his home on the island.

Day 8 - Sunday 19 September 2021

Cabot Trail Touring (B)

Today we'll experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America as we tour the Cabot Trail which winds around the rocky splendour of Cape Breton’s northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.  Look-outs offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton’s rugged coastline so be sure to have your camera on hand.

Day 9 - Monday 20 September 2021

Baddeck - Cape Breton Island - Halifax (B)

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits today and words cannot do justice to this reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France.  Roam the streets and chat with authentically costumed guides. Proceed along the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake to the mainland and on to Halifax for an afternoon city tour including the Public Gardens.  Halifax is one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World.

Day 10 - Tuesday 21 September 2021

South Shore Touring (B)

Today we'll travel the rugged south shore of Nova Scotia to world famous Peggy’s Cove.  This graceful lighthouse sits high upon the smooth wave-worn granite of the coast.  We'll see picturesque Mahone Bay with the line of 3 elegant churches gracing the sheltered harbour. Then we continue on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, one of Nova Scotia’s most historic and beautiful towns and home of the Bluenose II, a replica of the famous fishing schooner. Visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage.

Day 11 - Wednesday 22 September 2021

Halifax - Digby (B)

After a sumptuous breakfast we depart Halifax for the lush Annapolis Valley and learn about the French Acadians who established their first settlement in the early 1600’s at Grand Pre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Learn about the facts and fiction that blend to reveal the romance of the Land of Evangeline.  Visit a local winery for a tour and tasting then continue to Annapolis Royal to see the Historic Gardens.  Travel to Digby, the scallop capital of the world, where the fresh sea air and passionate Acadian culture combine to form an enchanting and historically rich town.

Day 12 - Thursday 23 September 2021

Digby - Halifax (B,D)

Today we'll visit Bear River, less than 20 minutes from Digby. The river itself rises and falls about 25 feet twice a day, thanks to the tides of the Bay of Fundy. This town on stilts has centuries old colourful buildings and attracts all sorts of artists and craftspeople.  We'll then stop at Hall’s Harbour for a unique and informative tour of the Lobster Pound en-route to Halifax.  

This evening step aboard the Harbour Queen I for a unique and unforgettable dining experience.  Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner and two-hour cruise along the beautiful and picturesque Halifax harbourside.

Day 13 - Friday 24 September 2021

Halifax (B)

Today’s sightseeing tour allows us to delve deeper into the history of Halifax and to experience the city through the eyes of a local. Our tour includes the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Citadel Hills and Fisherman’s Cove. Visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on the waterfront to discoverthe stories, events and people that have come to define Nova Scotia and its relationship with the sea.  The HalifaxCitadel's star shaped architecture is equally as impressive from the inside and out.  Step back in time with the 78th Highlanders and the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery to learn what it was like for the soldiers and their families to live and work in this historic fort.  Travel across one of two bridges that connects Halifax and Dartmouth and visit Fisherman's Cove in Eastern Passage.  Stroll the picturesque boardwalk and visit the many shops offering delicious food, maritime crafts, local paintings, unique folk art and souvenirs to bring home.

Day 14 - Saturday 25 September 2021

Halifax - Montreal (B)

Today we transfer to the airport for our flight from Halifax to Montreal.  We will be met and transfered to our hotel with the remainder of the day free to explore Montreal.

Day 15 - Sunday 26 September 2021

Montreal (B)

After breakfast board a chartered coach for a mix of  a walking and coach city tour of Montreal with a local guide.  Highlights include the downtown core, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica (admission included), McGill and Concordia Universities, Mont Royal with St. Joseph’s Oratory, the Latin Quarter, and upscale neighbourhoods.  The Notre Dame Basilica is one of the crown jewels of Montreal's heritage.  Montreal's oldest Catholic church, built in 1656, is situated in the historic district of Old Montreal. It is known for its intricately designed interior, which includes stained glass chronicling the history of the city. Then visit the Jean Talon Market, the largest outdoor market in North America.  Continue to the Biodome (admission included) where we will walk through replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas.  Travel through the Americas, beginning in the lush tropical rainforest and finishing with a visit to the sub-polar regions to enjoy the penguins and auks … a unique experience!

Day 16 - Monday 27 September 2021

Montreal (B)

Depart in the morning on a 3 hour journey to Quebec City, alongside the St Lawrence River.  Upon arrival meet a local guide for a combination of  a coach and walking city tour of Quebec City.  See sites such as Les Plains d’Abraham, Citadelle, city hall, the old city walls, the Parliament, Terrace Dufferin and the Chateau Frontenac. Then continue on a walking tour of the Upper and Lower Old Town which will not only show the splendid architecture and historical sites of this city but also allows you to discover the different cultural traditions.  Enjoy time at leisure before the return journey to Montreal arriving early evening.
