Itinerary

Day 1 Sunday 14 March 2027

9:30 am Southern Cross Station - Mitchelton Estate (L, D)

Our journey begins with a scenic drive north from Melbourne to the historic heart of the Goulburn Valley. Our first taste of the region begins at the legendary Tahbilk Estate, where we will wander through underground cellars dating back to 1860, sample exceptional wines, and enjoy a relaxed lunch overlooking serene wetlands. The indulgence continues just across the river at the striking Mitchelton Winery, our luxurious home for the next two nights. Before settling in for a premium two-course estate dinner on the terrace, we will have time to immerse ourselves in the Mitchelton Gallery of Aboriginal Art—the largest commercial Indigenous art gallery in the Southern Hemisphere, hidden right beneath the estate's iconic Ashton Tower.

Day 2 Monday 15 March 2027

Mitchelton Estate   (B, D)

Our second day, allows us to experience everything the magnificent Mitchelton grounds have to offer. Following a fresh estate breakfast, the morning is completely ours to curate, we can unwind with premium therapies at the Mitchelton Day Spa, walk through riverfront trails, access complimentary e-bikes, lounge by the private resort pool, or take the elevator 55 metres up the Ashton Tower for breathtaking 360-degree views of the vines. After a casual lunch at the Provedore Café, our afternoon builds toward a tailored wine tasting at the cellar door to sample award-winning regional drops. The day culminates with culinary style with a four-course dinner at The Muse Restaurant.  (Option to take us to Fowles winery and gift shop at lunch time)

Day 3 Tuesday 16th March

Mitchelton Estate - Southern Cross Station (B, L)

The grand finale of our trip takes us to Living Legends, nestled within the beautiful Woodlands Historic Park. Here, we will enjoy a simple light lunch at the historic Woodlands Homestead before taking a guided tour. We’ll get the unforgettable opportunity to get up close, pat, and feed carrots to retired Melbourne Cup and Group 1 champion racehorses.  We will then head back to Melbourne, arriving at Southern Cross Station at approximately 4:30 PM.
