Itinerary
Day 1 - Saturday 28 February 2026
Melbourne - Werribee - Geelong - Queenscliff (D)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel! Meet your Mini Break Hostess and fellow travellers at Southern Cross Station at 10.00 am. We'll be travelling down to the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, stopping en route to visit historical Werribee Park Mansion. Werribee Park is a significant cultural and heritage attraction offering an authentic insight into Australia's richly diverse history. The centrepiece of this jewel in the West is a superbly restored 1870s Italianate Mansion, originally built by Scottish squatter Thomas and Andrew Chirnside. Step back into a bygone era while admiring the beautifully restored rooms of the elaborate Mansion.
After we visit the Mansion, we'll continue to Geelong to explore the impressive Geelong Waterfront, one of Australia's most stunning waterfronts. This cosmopolitan and vibrant area is a hub of activity, featuring restaurants and cafes, beautiful landscaped gardens, attractions, and public art, all set against the stunning backdrop of Corio Bay. We'll enjoy lunch at a local cafe/restaurant (own cost) before continuing to Queenscliff with an afternoon at leisure..
Tonight we'll enjoy a first-class dining experience on the Q Train, the most prestigious dining option on board. Originally a first-class sleeping car from Queensland’s famous Sunlander train, we will dine in our private compartment, creating a lovely and unique atmosphere. As first-class guests, we'll experience a delicious degustation menu. It will be a lovely way to spend an evening with friends.
Overnight - Queenscliff
Day 2 - Sunday 1 March 2026
Queenscliff - Geelong - Melbourne (L)
This morning, after breakfast (own cost) at a local cafe, we'll check out and travel back to the outskirts of Geelong to visit the historic Fyansford Paper Mill complex, which was constructed between 1876 and 1878 using local bluestone and brick, and comprises the original mill buildings, manager's house, six workers’ cottages, a bluestone water race with impeller, tower and stone weir. Its Heritage Victoria listing underlines its importance. The Fyansford Paper Mill is now home to a collection of artisan workshops and galleries, a winery and restaurant, a café & more.
After free time, we'll enjoy lunch at the local winery before heading back to Melbourne, arriving at Southern Cross Station at approximately 4 pm.
Thank you for travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel and we look forward to welcoming you back for another adventure.
