Itinerary

Day One - Saturday 9 May 2026

Melbourne - Violet Town - Beechworth (L, D)

Welcome to our 4 Day Alpine Mini Break.  Please meet your Sisterhood Hostess at the T Intersection of Lonsdale and Spencer Street (opposite side to Southern Cross) no later than 8.00am. We begin our travels to Violet Town, a small but vibrant town in the Goulburn Valley; home to one of the best country markets.  We'll spend some time browsing the 230 plus stalls with the opportunity to fill your Sisterhood shopping bag with all sorts of goodies.

We then continue to enjoy a lovely lunch at Brown Brothers in Milawa where afterwards there will be time to browse the small shopping precinct including Milawa Mustards, the Olive Shop and the nearby Milawa Cheese Company.

Then it's onto Beechworth for our overnight stay, including dinner.

Overnight - Carriage Motel Beechworth (or similar)

Day Two - Sunday 10 May 2026

Beechworth - Myrtleford - Bright (B,L)

Today, after breakfast downtown (and checkout), it's time to take a step back in time and follow the journey of Beechworth's fascinating history, from pioneers looking to strike it rich in the goldfields, to the region's indigenous people, to some of Australia's most notorious bushrangers. We'll enjoy a guided walk and talk, learning all about the local history, including tales of the legendary (or infamous) Ned Kelly.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy some free time to wander the streets and discover the perfectly preserved buildings of Beechworth or to visit the living museums of the Beechworth Historic & Cultural Precinct. We then travel the short distance to Stanley to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Stanley Pub before departing for Bright.

Upon arrival, we'll check in and relax before dinner at one of the local pubs (own cost).

Overnight - Bright Riverbank Park Hotel (or similar)

Day Three - Monday 11 May 2026

Bright Sightseeing (B)

Today, after breakfast, we'll have the day free to wander the eclectic shops of Bright at leisure.

In the early afternoon, we'll travel to nearby Nightingale Brothers Alpine Produce for the opportunity to purchase some local, fresh produce.

Returning to Bright with time to freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant (own cost).

Overnight - Bright Riverbank Park Hotel (similar)

Day Four - Tuesday 12 May 2026

Bright - Myrtleford - Benalla - Melbourne (B)

Another free morning in Bright before travelling to Benalla.  Enroute, we'll visit Red Ramia Trading Co in Myrleford to browse all things Moroccan with time for lunch.  We'll arrive into Benalla early afternoon and meet our guide for a tour of the amazing nearby silos of Goorambat, St James and Devenish and the street art that adorns many of Benalla's main street and beyond.

We then head back to Melbourne arriving in around 6pm.

We thank you for travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel and we look forward to welcoming you back for your next adventure.
