You must be capable of boarding and disembarking coaches, trains and boats unaided and at times handle your own luggage. For more information on our physical ratings, please click here.
There will be times, especially in the Alps and Maienfeld areas, where a reasonable level of fitness is required.
This tour includes some sections of windy roads. If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking appropriate precautions such as travel sickness tablets or wrist bands. While we understand the preference for front seats, allocation will be at the discretion of your Sisterhood hostess to ensure fairness and comfort for all travellers.
As this tour is based mainly around train transportation, there will be some walking between hotels and train stations. Your luggage will be transported to the relevant hotels.
Tipping - In Europe, although tipping is not compulsory it is appreciated. Sisterhood Women's Travel's tipping system on all group tours involves passengers contributing to a kitty and paid directly to the Hostess upon departure. Your Hostess will then distribute appropriately to the service providers (outside the included tour manager and driver) as required. This system avoids the need for you to consider individual tipping situations daily throughout the trip. This suggested amount is EUR50 and will be confirmed with your tour documentation.
