Itinerary

Day 1 - Tuesday 13 August 2024

Melbourne - Singapore (D)

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel!  Meet your Sisterhood Tour Hostess and fellow travellers at Melbourne Airport for our morning flight to Singapore.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment as we head towards Singapore.

Upon arrival into Singapore Changi Airport after immigration and customs formalities you will be met by a local English-speaking guide to commence the Best of Jewel Tour.

Visit Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore’s latest tourist destination. With our experienced guide, you will be able to experience the best of Jewel within a short time.  See the Crystal Clouds and visit the HSBC Rain Vortex and Shiseido Forest Valley.  Know more about the typical Singaporean’s way of life through well-designed products.  Visit heritage brands and learn how their businesses have flourished while keeping to their traditions.  Taste local snacks, some of which are still made with the same recipe that has been passed down.  End your visit at the Canopy Park, which includes access to the Topiary Walk, Petal Garden, Foggy Bowls and Discovery Slides before the private transfer to the hotel.

Dinner tonight is included at the Hard Rock Café (a 3-minute walk from the hotel).

Day 2 - Wednesday 14 August 2024

Singapore (B)

This morning we will enjoy a Singapore city tour.  Explore the city by driving around the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, the historic Parliament House and the National Gallery Singapore.  The Gallery consists of two national monuments – the former Supreme Court Building and the City Hall.  Next, stop at Merlion Park and enjoy the impressive views of Marina Bay.  Do not miss out on this photographic opportunity with The Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. Visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, before driving past Chinatown.  Proceed to Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Singapore Botanic Gardens and walk through the National Orchid Garden which boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants. Let your senses come alive at Little India as you walk past shops along the five-footway offering a variety of exotic fruits, spices, jasmine and orchid garlands.

The afternoon is at leisure.

This evening we will be met and transferred to Clarke Quay for a traditional bumboat cruise down the historic Singapore River.  The guide will engage us in a captivating tale of Singapore’s two famous quays—Boat Quay and Clarke Quay—whilst we take in the scenic views of the Marina Bay area.  The tour ends at Clarke Quay, famous for its stunning waterside restaurants and exciting collection of bars and clubs.  Perhaps a chance to sample one of the many restaurants for dinner (own expense) before making our way back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Thursday 15 August 2024

Singapore (B)

After breakfast, we will be collected from the hotel for our Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sand’s SkyPark tour.

Begin our discovery of the city’s most popular attractions at Gardens by the Bay. This 101-hectare space of verdant greenery comprises three massive cooled conservatories filled with natural splendour.  Spend time marvelling at the rare flora on display at the Flower Dome, exploring the mist-filled landscape of Cloud Forest, and marvelling at the majesty of the garden’s Supertrees. Be sure to scale Cloud Mountain for unforgettable views.  Take a stroll along the waterfront to Marina Bay Sands®.  This integrated resort is filled with attractions for discerning visitors, ranging from sky-high party spots to luxury shopping opportunities.  Visit the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, an architectural masterpiece sitting on top of the three hotel towers at Marina Bay Sands.  This 1.2-hectare tropical oasis is longer than the Eiffel Tower and is tall and large enough to park four-and-a-half 380 jumbo jets. It extends to form one of the world’s largest public cantilevers.

Includes: Admission to two conservatories and Marina Bay Sand’s SkyPark admission (weather permitting).

The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Tonight, we'll regroup at a suggested dinner venue.

Day 4 - Friday 16 August 2024

Singapore (B, AT)

This afternoon we will be transferred to Raffles Hotel to enjoy afternoon tea in the Grand Lobby.

Indulge in a timeless experience in the restored Grand Lobby of the iconic Raffles Singapore.  The grandeur of floor-to-ceiling Victorian pillars, bathed in soft daylight streaming through the skylight.  It is a truly refined and unique destination for refreshments.  Amidst this elegant setting, savour finger sandwiches, house-made scones and cakes and seasonal delicacies.

Day 5 - Saturday 17 August 2024

Singapore, Perankan Delight & Rich Cultures (B)

This morning is at leisure.

In the afternoon we will be collected from the hotel for a 6-hour cultural tour.  With its rainbow-hued heritage shop houses, cool cafes and modern boutiques, Joo Chiat/Katong is one of Singapore’s liveliest districts.  The neighbourhood is famous for being a trove of all things Peranakan, with eateries, shops and architecture bearing the culture’s striking influence.  Spend time in the district of Bras Basah Bugis, a vibrant arts and culture district in the heart of Singapore.  Bargain hunt at Bugis Street, discover and spend a quiet hour or two at Fort Canning Park or the Armenian Church.  The visit has been timed to be in this historic neighbourhood just as the sun sets.  The golden-domed Sultan Mosque—Kampong Glam’s most striking landmark—makes for a beautiful photo opportunity at dusk.  Gregarious travellers will find ample opportunity to socialise by embarking on a bar hop along Haji Lane.  This narrow street is home to a whole range of hip watering holes and buzzing bars.

We will return to the hotel in the early evening.
