Norfolk Island Discovery - February 2026 - Hostess Roundup Dawn Caputo

NORFOLK ISLAND DISCOVERY: FEBRUARY 2026.
Norfolk Island is an "external territory" of Australia, located in the Pacific Ocean , approximately 1.600km north east of Sydney.
A small island of 35sq miles with a population of just over 2200 and fiercely proud of its history and community. 
The island's green rolling hills ,manicured fields and majestic evergreen Norfolk Pine are a setting of beauty and serenity.
No highrise buildings, no traffic lights nor busy bustling streets makes it the perfect getaway for a week's break!
Our days were filled with exploring the island and its stunning beauty but we never seemed rushed , there was always time for a coffee at 
"Olives" down the main street or a chance to pop in to "Franks" to buy another pair of shoes ! There was time for a swim in the warm 
waters at Emily Bay and a chance to stroll through the local Sunday market. A chance to explore the Heritage listed site of the historic
Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk along "Quality Row" with its magnificent colonial homes and visit the nearby cemetery (dating back to 1788)
which was all brought to life by the commentary of local legend Max.
 A progressive dinner allowed us to visit 3 homes, to hear of the different backgrounds and lifestyles of these very proud Norfolk people.
An early morning walk in the National forest followed by a BBQ breakfast, a visit to Emily Bay,  the great food and afternoon teas, the pre drinks and
 chats shared at the Hotel terrace are just some of the special memories.
Our group of 12 ladies was made up of 9 new first time travellers with sisterhood - one of the ladies asked "tell me have I just struck it lucky
with this group or are all the tours with Sisterhood as special as this one"?
