Canada & Alaska Rail Cruise Adventure -August 2026 – Hostess Round Up – Silvana Danielis

Back to Canada and Alaska for another unforgettable Sisterhood adventure — and while I’ve travelled this journey before, this trip reminded me that no two journeys are ever the same.

This time, I was joined by eight wonderful Sisters, and together we experienced some of the very best that Western Canada and Alaska have to offer. From spectacular mountain landscapes and turquoise lakes to charming towns, incredible rail journeys and the rugged beauty of the Alaskan coast, every day brought something new.

And then there were the animals!

One of the highlights of this year’s journey was the incredible wildlife we encountered along the way. We were lucky enough to see moose, whales, elk and so many other animals in their natural surroundings. There is something very special about spotting wildlife unexpectedly — those moments when everyone stops, watches and reaches for their cameras are the memories that stay with you long after the journey is over.

We were also incredibly fortunate with the weather. For the most part, we enjoyed beautiful conditions, with only one day of challenging weather. We even experienced a few short bursts of snowfall, which added a little extra magic to our Canadian adventure. One minute we were enjoying the scenery, and the next, snowflakes were falling around us — a beautiful reminder that September in the Rockies can bring a little bit of everything!

Of course, a Sisterhood journey is about so much more than the places we visit. It’s about the women we travel with, the conversations along the way, the laughter, the shared experiences and those little moments that happen between the big adventures.

Travelling this itinerary again allowed me to see familiar places through fresh eyes — and experiencing it with eight new Sisters made it a completely different journey.

From Vancouver through the Canadian Rockies and onwards to Alaska, we travelled through some truly breathtaking scenery, encountered incredible wildlife and created plenty of memories along the way.

Thank you to my eight wonderful Sisters for sharing this adventure with me. It was a pleasure to travel with you, laugh with you, explore with you and watch you experience the magic of Canada and Alaska.
