What can I say? The Camino Adventure Trail is an amazing tour that I highly recommend to anyone who can do it!

Our journey began in majestic Madrid, where our perfectly located hotel made it easy to explore, shop, and dine. We fell in love with the city, and our guide, Ilyana, regaled us with stories of Spanish history as we toured the Imperial Palace. Our day trip to Toledo was equally fabulous; the ancient capital, perched atop a mountain overlooking the Tagus River, features a magnificent cathedral and original paintings by El Greco. A personal highlight in Madrid was our food tour with Jorge, who took us to lively, off-the-beaten-track bars and eateries where we had a great time interacting with the locals.

Next, we stayed at the Santa Estevo Monastery. Sleeping in "monk's cells" dating back to the 10th century provided a unique way to prep for our trek. This Parador features incredible Renaissance, Gothic, and Romanesque cloisters, and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the spa followed by a delicious meal.

The following morning, we transferred to Sarria to begin our trail. Over the next eight days, we trekked through woodland groves, medieval villages, and rolling hills. We encouraged each other every step of the way, stopping at welcoming cafes and re-energising each evening with local produce and the occasional sangria. The people we met on the trail were lovely, and our group's dedication was truly outstanding. On our final day, we walked into Santiago de Compostela together. Crossing the finish line was an emotional highlight—we were jubilant, proud, and shared plenty of hugs and tears of joy. Our accommodation in Santiago was luxurious and provided the perfect place to reflect on our achievement.

We spent our final days exploring Barcelona, where we visited Gaudi’s buildings and enjoyed a Flamenco show. Our trip concluded with an intimate cooking class with Chef Juan, who taught us how to make Spanish omelettes, gazpacho, paella, and crème brûlée. Watch out, MasterChef—the "Sisters" are ready!

I loved this trip. The bond we shared represented the true essence of Sisterhood. I feel privileged and grateful to have walked the Camino with such an incredible group of women.

Buen Camino, Sisters, and thank you all!
