Entry into New Zealand
Please ensure that your passport has at least 6 months validity from your return date left on your passport. No extra visas are required for entry into New Zealand for Australian passport holders.

Weather
April is autumn in New Zealand. Autumn spans from March to May, offering a delightful transition from summer to winter. Long, sunny days persist well into the season. Nights start to become chilly around mid-April, adding a crispness to the air.
Luggage Allowance
Please keep your luggage to a minimum. Do not take what you cannot handle yourself.
Irrespective of airline allowances, luggage is restricted to one item of ‘checked in’ luggage and one smaller item of ‘under seat’ or hand luggage per person.
Due to limited storage capacity in the motorcoaches used on tour, each ‘check in’ luggage item should have dimensions not exceeding 30” x 20” x 12” (76x51x30cm) and weight not exceeding 50lbs (23kg).
‘Under seat’ or hand luggage is restricted to one piece per person, not exceeding 17” x 13” x 8.7” (43x33x22cm). ‘Under seat’ or hand luggage handling is the responsibility of each guest and must be taken on and off the motorcoach by you each day of the trip.
Currency
New Zealand’s unit of currency is the dollar (NZD$). All major credit cards are accepted in New Zealand, with Visa and Mastercard the most widely used. Many retailers in main centres also have Apple Pay. Travellers’ cheques are no longer accepted.
Currency exchange - You can exchange foreign currency for New Zealand currency at banks, some hotels and Bureau de Change kiosks, which are in international airports and most city centres.
New Zealand currency is available in: Coins with values of 10, 20 and 50 cents, $1 and $2. Notes with values of $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100.
Health Whilst Travelling
There is always a risk to your health when travelling and it is better to be prepared. It is recommended to take with you some diarrhoea medication in case you come down with a stomach bug. It is also a good idea to bring along some hydrolyte for dehydration purposes. We also recommend Travelan to help protect your stomach from any nasties (available over the counter at any pharmacy). For any other vaccination/health/medical concerns with regards to travelling, please consult your GP or visit a Travel Doctor.
Travel Insurance
It is mandatory for travellers to have comprehensive travel insurance; please ensure you have provided Sisterhood Womens Travel with a copy of your policy, including a 24/7 Emergency Contact Number.
Whats App Group
Please make sure you download WhatsApp onto your phone prior to departure. This App will be your communication tool whilst on tour and your tour hostess will contact you prior to departure to set you up in your tour WhatsApp group. It’s also a lovely way to remain in touch with friends upon your return.
Changes to Itinerary
We do our best to give Sisters an enjoyable, trouble-free tour experience but occasionally, even the best-laid plans can go awry. We cannot rule out any changes to the itinerary and ask that you maintain a positive, upbeat and flexible attitude.
Staying in touch
We recommend using Holafly for all your eSIM needs. You'll even get a 5% discount if you sign up with this link
