Uluru (B,S)

An early start before dawn we will travel towards the iconic Uluru. Its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its magical presence.  Our guide will take us to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith.  There we'll learn the creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (woman python) and hear about the Mala people.  After a picnic breakfast we'll visit Mutitjulu Waterhole and then drive around the base of Uluru before returning to the resort.

This afternoon we will visit Kata Tjuta, one of the most dramatic rock formations in the world.  We'll walk through Walpa Gorge and learn the history and myths surrounding this spiritual place as we listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls surrounding us.

Later this evening we will experience the famous Field of Lights.   As darkness falls we will view 50,000 glass spheres gently coming to life.  We'll enjoy panoramic views of the lights from atop a dune where we'll enjoy canapes and drinks.
