FAQs - COVID 19 | Sisterhood Womens Travel

Your Award Winning Women's Tour Company. Interesting Itineraries Since 2005.

In the everchanging world that COVID has presented us with, we are making it easy for you to know where you stand with many of your COVID related questions.

If my tour is rescheduled due to COVID what are my options?

When designing tours both domestic or international, Sisterhood Women's Travel engages with many different suppliers each with their own terms and conditions.  When rescheduling a tour due to COVID our suppliers are within their rights to offer either a full credit or refund depending on their financial commitments to ‘other’ parties eg. transportation, accommodation, sightseeing etc.  Credits and refund options may vary from tour to tour.  At the time of your tour re-schedule announcement, you will be contacted with options moving forward.  We always do our best to ensure that our traveller's funds are protected as much as possible so that you can continue to look forward to your next adventure.

Why can’t I just get my money back?

If only it was that easy! First and foremost, we are a group tour company, not an independent travel agent.  With independent travel, it is often easier to obtain a refund but groups are a whole different story.  Group tours are priced on achieving minimum numbers to depart and when these numbers are reached, the tour is then guaranteed to depart.  If the tour is subsequently rescheduled due to COVID, and you decide you no longer wish to travel, our group number, therefore pricing may be affected due to a reduction in group size, hence why suppliers will usually only offer a credit to preserve their group number.
Believe us when we say that it’s a lot easier to hand over money than it is to have it returned.  The fact that we use many different suppliers, each with their own individual terms and conditions, more often than not it’s not possible to recoup all funds paid out.  The Pandemic is nobody’s fault, not you the traveller, not Sisterhood Womens Travel and not our supplier’s.  Given the current climate and the uncertainty and ever-changing environment, businesses have to survive so it’s not unreasonable to expect some cancellation/administration fees for tours that do not depart due to COVID.  There is actually more work involved to re-schedule arrangements than there is having a tour actually depart.

What if I can’t go on the rescheduled date?

When re-scheduling tours due to COVID we try to give you as much notice as possible to ensure that you can be available.  The best way to preserve your funds paid is to move to the re-scheduled date as opposed to cancelling altogether and being charged cancellation fees.  Although, you may be hesitant in committing to the new tour date, cancelling off a tour as opposed to re-scheduling can be costly, hence we encourage you to be flexible so that you can continue to look forward to your long-awaited adventure.

Why can’t you just resell my seat?

Many airlines and suppliers do not allow name changes without charging hefty fees so reselling seats on tours can be costly and is a lot more involved behind the scenes than you may think.  As much as we would love to find a replacement passenger to enable you to cancel your tour, it’s not that easy to just find someone else.  If it was, all of our tours would be full always!  We are all about encouraging people to travel rather than to discourage, so please understand we cannot take on this responsibility without charging an appropriate fee should we find a replacement.

How do you determine a cancellation fee?

Each tour is different and a number of factors determine the cancellation fee including the amounts charged by our suppliers for airfares, accommodation, transportation and sightseeing in addition to the fee charged by SWT to cover the cost and time spent on putting the tour together and any subsequent re-schedules or cancellations which are outside the control of SWT.  The best way to avoid any cancellation fees and to preserve your funds is to take the re-scheduled tour offer.

I don’t want to travel anymore and just want my money back

Given the effects the pandemic has had on travelling, we understand your hesitancy to travel. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refund for a change of mind.  We recommend you contact your travel insurance company to explore your options prior to officially cancelling.  At Sisterhood Women's Travel, we are all about connecting women through the joys of travel and new friendships and we will continue to support and encourage you to look forward to your adventure.

Why do you outsource your tours to other suppliers?

We are a small group tour company who work with established and reputable suppliers from all over the world to bring you amazing experiences to share with friends.  You will find that most tour companies engage independent ground operators and this is standard practice within the industry.  We wish we had the reach to have our ‘own’ transportation, hotels and tour guides but it’s simply not viable.

If I am booked on 2 tours & I must cancel one as they overlap or are too close to one another, can I transfer my deposit to the one tour?

Yes, if we have rescheduled a tour which clashes with another tour you are currently booked on, depending on the cancellation fees for the tour you wish to cancel we will allow any remaining deposit to be transferred to your preferred tour.

How do I know that in a years’ time this tour won’t be rescheduled again?

We don’t!  We remain positive that under the Government’s pandemic recovery we will be open for travel as predicted.  Of course, if your tour doesn’t go ahead due to border closures or COVID, we will revert to the relevant COVID policy and provide you with options moving forward.

What’s the point of getting Travel Insurance when it doesn’t cover COVID?

It’s just as important now as it ever was to ensure that you take out Travel Insurance when booking any tour through Sisterhood Women's Travel.  Insurance Companies are constantly updating their policies to provide the best coverage possible during these times but it’s important to note that there are many circumstances outside of COVID that may result in a claim that needs to be considered and it is imperative that you read through the insurance company’s Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) to ensure you are comfortable with the level of insurance the company is offering.  As travel insurance is compulsory when travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel, it’s so important to take out insurance at the time you pay your deposit to protect yourself against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

What happens to my Insurance if my tour is re-scheduled?

If a tour is postponed and we have issued your insurance, you will need to first advise if you wish to move to the rescheduled date.  Then we can extend the dates of your travel insurance.  If you have arranged your own insurance, you will need to contact your insurer directly and request to update to your new travel dates.  If you are cancelling your tour, please let us know as early as possible so we can forward a refund request to the insurance company.  Refunds are on a request basis only and may not be the full value of the policy paid.  Insurance refunds take some time to process and are usually refunded in the same manner they were paid.  Upon receipt of funds, we’ll advise and arrange your refund.

Do I have to be double vaccinated to travel with you?

As we look forward to getting back to what we do best, to keep our travellers, hostesses and team safe and to ensure we align with current COVID industry requirements, from 1 January 2022 all Sisterhood Travellers are required to produce proof of COVID-19 vaccination status to be able to attend/travel on any get-together, event, mini-break, domestic or international tour.  If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption and provide us with a medical certificate from a medical practitioner.  Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.  For any changes to this policy, as we operate in an ever-changing environment and requirements continue to evolve globally, we will closely monitor relevant changes and make updates where required.

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions - if you can't find the answer to your question please contact Sisterhood Central on 1300 885 255.

What makes SWT different from other tour companies?

Sisterhood Women's Travel offers small group adventures just for women.  We are a community of women brought together through our love of travel and new friendships. Whether it be an event, a mini-break or whilst on tour, we offer a supportive and encouraging environment for women to travel in.  From the well-travelled to the first time traveller we believe that having someone likeminded to share experiences with helps to make your trip even more memorable.  Travellers also have the services of an experienced hostess from Sisterhood who is on hand to take care of any personal needs whilst on tour.  We hold a meet and greet session prior to all tours to give you the opportunity to meet their fellow travellers and swap travel tips etc.

What is your average group size?

Our average group size for a Pop Up Tour or Escorted Tour is 12.  Our maximum is 16 but we can travel with under 10 depending on the destination.  We don't have a limit for our Mini Breaks.

What if I book on a tour by myself but I would be happy to share a room with someone?

When travelling alone a great way to keep your costs down and make new friends is to be prepared to share a room with another traveller.  We are unable to guarantee that your roommate will be of a similar age group or personality but it can be an enjoyable way to travel and could mean the start of a great friendship.  Of course, if you prefer a room to yourself the single supplement will apply. If we are unable to find you a roommate the single supplement will apply.  SWT takes no responsibility for any mismatch of passengers and will not be liable for any additional charges incurred for changing room configuration whilst on tour.

What style of touring do you offer?

We have two styles of touring:

Pop Up Tours
An option for more independent, active travellers - Designed to include return airfares from any city in Australia (upgrades available POA), accommodation including breakfast, transfers and orientation city sightseeing tours not to mention friends for company - the rest of the itinerary is up to you. You can enjoy free time for shopping, sightseeing or pampering the choice is yours and your Sisterhood Tour Manager will be on hand to facilitate any additional arrangements you'd like to enjoy during your Sisterhood Pop Up Experience! Usually longer stays at each destination to really give you the cultural feel of a place. You will need to be independent, active and be able to manage your own luggage whilst on any of our Pop Up tours.

Fully Escorted Inclusive Tours
This is the style of travelling that we are well known for - The personal service of a Sisterhood Hostess and a more structured itinerary for those who are new to travel or not as confident in making their own arrangements.  A small group experience with more sightseeing inclusions and more meals included to encourage a group atmosphere.  A basic level of fitness is required (see our terms and conditions) and we'll give you the encouragement and support you need to get out of your comfort zone a little.

Is Travel Insurance Compulsory

Full Comprehensive Travel Insurance is compulsory for all of our Sisterhood Tours.   We offer competitive insurance premiums and if you are a member you can save up to 20% on your insurance policy when booking a SWT tour.  You are welcome to source your own travel insurance but please ensure that you receive adequate coverage, particularly cancellation and medical cover.  We will require a copy of your policy and your 24/7 emergency contact number.  Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any traveller who is found to have been underinsured or has not insured any pre-existing adequately.

I have a friend in Brisbane who would like to join one of your tours.  How can she do this?

All of our tours depart from Melbourne, Tullamarine Airport.  It may be possible to depart from a different city depending on airline schedules and availability.  As we are also award-winning travel agents backed by ATAS (AFTA Travel Agent Accreditation Scheme) we are more than happy to assist with connecting flights and pre/post tour accommodation at Melbourne airport.  We depart from Melbourne as a group accompanied by a SWT tour hostess who is there from day one to ensure that your travel experience is enjoyable and hassle-free.  If you are interested in continuing on your travels after your Sisterhood tour we are happy to arrange.

What is your average age group?

On average our travellers are aged 55 plus.  We have had mothers and daughters, friends and grandmothers travel with us.  If you are over 18, fit, healthy and have a zest for life, we welcome you.  From experience it is amazing travelling with women of all ages, you can certainly learn a thing or two!  A minimum level of fitness is required to enjoy our tours.  As a minimum, you will need to be able to walk 2km on uneven ground, carry your own luggage and walk up a few flights of stairs.  We rely on the honest information you provide on your Fit to Travel Form completed as part of your booking form and have the right to remove any traveller who does not meet this criteria.

What if I want to extend my trip after your Sisterhood tour?

A great advantage of Sisterhood is that because we are also award-winning travel agents backed by ATAS (AFTA Travel Agent Accreditation Scheme), we work with a huge range of reputable suppliers to assist with planning any SWT tour add ons.  Generally, so long as you depart with our group it is certainly possible to return separately but please be aware that as much as we would love to remain with you, your SWT tour hostess will return home with the group.

What if you are not going to a destination I'm interested in?

We would love to be able to organise tours to suit everyone, but that would mean a lot of tours!  We do take into account places where ladies have expressed interest in, but as our tours usually operate on a minimum 10, we need to ensure that there is 'a lot' of interest in the destination before we make a tour available.  If you have a group of travellers interested in a particular destination that SWT does not offer, please allow us to utilise our award-winning travel agency skills in putting together your own tour.

What does minimum numbers mean?

All tours are subject to minimum numbers. If a tour falls below the minimum number required for a fully escorted tour, SWT reserves the right to offer the tour escorted by a local guide upon arrival to your destination.  If SWT cancels a tour due to lack of numbers a full refund is offered or transfer to another tour.  Should a tour be cancelled, SWT cannot assume any responsibility for any additional costs relating to travel arrangements including travel insurance.

What if you don't reach your tour numbers - do I get my money back?

If it is two words we love it is BOOKED OUT!  Certainly, from time to time unfortunately tours are cancelled due to lack of numbers.  In this instance, a full refund or transfer to another tour is offered.  As we are award-winning travel agents backed by ATAS (AFTA Travel Agent Accreditation Scheme) we will happily assist in offering alternative arrangements for you to enable you to still travel.

I know it says women only but can my husband come?

We are the first women-only tour company to have been granted an exemption from the Equal Opportunity Act 1995, so unfortunately your husband is unable to join us.  But don't despair, we are happy to arrange a similar itinerary for both of you as we are also award-winning retail travel agents.

What if something happens on tour and I need help?

A great benefit of our tours is that as we are a small group tour operator, our passenger to hostess ratio is fantastic.  Your tour hostess is happy to make herself available to discuss any concerns you have whilst on tour.  Our SWT hostess is in constant contact with the ground operators and Sisterhood Central back in Australia and will certainly do her best to ensure that your tour is hassle-free and enjoyable.

What if I change my mind after booking can I get a refund?

As we are small group operators the difference between 10 and 9 passengers can often mean the difference between a tour departing or being cancelled due to lack of numbers.  For this reason, we have strict cancellation fees.  Please refer to our booking conditions for more information. This is why travel insurance is so important and when considering travelling with Sisterhood Women's Travel please factor in the importance of full comprehensive travel insurance when considering your tour options.

Can I just book the tour and arrange my own airfare?

Our policy is so long as we have reached our minimum number required for each tour then a land only costing can be provided (subject to availability).  It will then be the expectation that you will join our SWT tour at our joining hotel and be responsible for all transfers both arriving and departing. In the event of a tour cancellation due to a lack of numbers, SWT cannot take responsibility for costs relating to any independently made travel arrangements.

As much as we would love to accommodate all travellers on our wide range of fabulous tours for whatever reason we may not have a tour that suits your particular needs.

Never fear, as we are also Award Winning Travel Agents, Sisterhood Womens Travel can create your own individual travel experience.

So if you have 1 - 100+ travellers we can tailor make an itinerary just for you.

Whether it be independent travel or touring with other travel suppliers (and yes your Husband can join you!) give Sisterhood Central a call on 1300 885 255 and through our "Sister" company Travel & Cruise Castlemaine we look forward to assisting you. Both agencies are backed by the all importat ATAS (AFTA Travel Agents Accreditation Scheme) giving you the confidence and peace of mind knowing that your holiday is in good hands!

We can also arrange add ons before and after your Sisterhood tour to enjoy and have a wide range of partner suppliers to utilise in making your holiday the best experience possible.

Sisterhood Womens Travel requires all travellers to take out full comprehensive travel insurance to travel on any of our international tours.  For domestic tours and mini breaks travel insurance is strongly recommended.  Sisterhood Womens Travel will not be held responsible for inadequate travel insurance coverage for any destination.

Conditions of Travel

Please read the following terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully as all bookings accepted by Sisterhood Womens Travel (“SWT”, “we”, “us”) are accepted subject to these Terms. By making a booking you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. Apart from all the legal stuff, it is recommended that all travellers adopt a sense of adventure, an easy going outlook and the ability to ‘expect the unexpected’. It is the expectation that all travellers will respect fellow passengers and understand the key to an enjoyable tour is you.

Bookings

A booking request is only accepted by us and confirmed once we issue you or your travel agent with booking confirmation and we receive payment of the required deposit. We reserve the right to accept or reject any booking request we receive.

Ability to Travel

A minimum level of health and fitness is required to be able to participate on a Sisterhood tour and we reserve the right to decline any booking request in this regard.  As a minimum you will need to be able to walk 2km on uneven ground, carry your own luggage, to walk up a few flights of stairs, and to generally be able to participate in the tour without special assistance from us.

We rely on the information you provide on our ‘Fit to Travel’ form completed as part of your booking request and as updated as necessary. You warrant that the information you provide is accurate and there are no other medical issues (both physical/mental) that may impact your ability to participate in the tour without the need for special assistance. Women with disabilities are welcome on all SWT tours provided you are accompanied by an able bodied companion and do not require special assistance from SWT personnel.  SWT reserves the right to exclude any person from a tour if SWT acting reasonably is of the opinion that  the individual requires special assistance for a condition not previously fully disclosed.

If your circumstances change following your completion of the ‘Fit to Travel’ form, then you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible, and in any circumstance prior to travel. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if your changed circumstances mean you will require special assistance from SWT personnel during the tour. We suggest that your travel insurance (which you are obliged to have in place under these Terms) includes comprehensive cancellation coverage.

SWT will not be liable for any damage, injury, death or loss of any kind arising from your failure to disclose relevant medical information.

Exclusion From Tour

You may be excluded from any tour at our discretion if you fail to comply with our reasonable instructions whilst on tour, or if we acting reasonably determine that you are interfering with other client’s enjoyment of the tour, or if you require special assistance due to an existing medical condition or disability not disclosed to us. If we exclude you from the tour on this basis, then you acknowledge that you will not be entitled to any refund for any remaining portion of the tour and you will be responsible for all costs associated with your onward travel and repatriation.

Variation to Tour Component

If you decide to depart the tour early, you acknowledge that you will not be entitled to any refund for any remaining portion or unused services.

Deviation to Tour Component

Sisterhood Womens Travel specialises in group travel.  Whilst we recognise that travellers may wish to add their own pre/post arrangements to our tours, we are happy to assist with an additional handling fee of $150.

Minimum Numbers

All tours are subject to minimum numbers. We will advise you no less than 28 days prior to travel if minimum numbers have not been achieved. If a tour falls below the minimum number required for a fully escorted tour, SWT reserves the right but is not obliged, to operate the tour escorted by a local guide upon arrival to your destination and in this circumstance no reduction in price will be applicable.  If SWT cancels a tour due to lack of numbers, you will have the option to receive a full refund or to transfer to an alternative tour. If the cost of the alternative tour is less expensive than the original tour then we will refund you the difference, and if the alternative tour is more expensive then you agree to pay the difference. If a tour is cancelled for failure to achieve minimum numbers, then SWT will not be responsible for any costs you incur due to the cancellation (including for the avoidance of doubt the cost of any airfares or travel insurance). You acknowledge that the provisions of this clause are necessary to protect the legitimate business interests of SWT.

Cancellation and Refunds (pre COVID)

All cancellations must be made in writing to Sisterhood Womens Travel and will be subject to cancellation charges from the date the written cancellation is received.

CANCELLATION

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must give us notice of the cancellation in writing. You acknowledge that the following cancellation charges will apply:

Cancellation - prior to Final Payment: forfeiture of all payments made at the time of cancellation

Cancellation - after Final Payment: forfeiture of all payments made at the time of cancellation

Regrettably, cancellation charges cannot be waived, and you acknowledge that it is a condition of these Terms & Conditions that you take out adequate comprehensive travel insurance which includes coverage in the event of cancellation by you.

COVID-19 RELATED CANCELLATIONS (Added 24 November 2020)

If we have to cancel ANY tour due to COVID-19 restrictions with regards to border restrictions and travel bans, we will do our best to obtain a credit or refund.  Each tour will be on a case by case basis and we cannot guarantee that any credit will be transferable to another tour as we use many suppliers each with their own COVID cancellation policies.  As we are a Victorian based tour company, unfortunately, we cannot be responsible if you are from interstate and reimposed border restrictions and/or travel bans prohibit your ability to join/depart any of our tours nor can we be responsible if COVID restrictions for Victoria cause the cancellation of our tour. SWT cannot be responsible for your unavailability on any re-scheduled tour date due to COVID-19 and as such travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Until a vaccine is available the Australian Government cannot provide any guarantee against the spread of COVID-19.  Sisterhood Womens Travel understands this and can only provide assurances that we will do all we can to manage the situation and follow guidelines set by the relevant Industry bodies and the Health Department.  Sisterhood Womens Travel and all Suppliers cannot be held liable for any transmission of COVID-19 from passenger to passenger whilst on tour.  All passengers travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel, travel of their own accord and will not hold Sisterhood Womens Travel liable for any issues relating to COVID-19 including any additional costs incurred due to border shutdowns, mandatory quarantines and loss of tour costs.

Amendments by You

Once SWT issues you with a booking confirmation and you have paid the required deposit, a $100 amendment fee will be payable on each occasion you request changes made to your tour arrangements. While we will endeavour to make amendments, please note that amendments are not always possible.  The amendment fee is charged to cover the additional time spent when preparing documentation and when dealing with relevant tour operators.

Tour Pricing

SWT operates on the basis of fluid pricing.  This is the practice within the travel industry where pricing changes due to various factors including, but not limited to changing airfares, currency fluctuations, and availability of product.  We reserve the right to change our prices without notice.  This can mean that different passengers on the same tour may have been charged different prices.

Prices confirmed at the time of issuance of your booking confirmation are based on exchange rates, cost of services and applicable exchange rates, fuel surcharges, and government taxes, charges and levies. We reserve the right to surcharge the price of your booking for any increase to our costs due to negative currency fluctuations or any increases in taxes, surcharges or levies as mentioned above.

Prices quoted or confirmed do not include costs that are not a compulsory part of the relevant tour and you will be directly responsible for these costs. Such costs may include but not be limited to the following: visas,  excess baggage, meals not mentioned, vaccinations, beverages, tips, and costs of a personal nature.

Amendments by Us

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information, SWT takes no responsibility for any itinerary changes we determine acting reasonably that are required for the overall enjoyment of the tour, for safety reasons or in situations where changes are required due to matters outside of our control. You acknowledge SWT's right to make amendments in these circumstances. While we will reasonably endeavour to supply comparable arrangements you agree that you will not be entitled to any cost reduction, refund or other compensation in these situations.

Cancellation by Us

If we cancel your travel arrangements prior to travel or during travel for matters outside of our control and which we could not reasonably foresee, then you agree that you will not be entitled to any refund to the extent that we offer alternative travel arrangements that you accept. If we are unable or otherwise do not offer any alternative travel arrangements, you agree that any refund/credit you may be entitled to will be reduced by the value of any costs we have incurred in connection with your booking (both external costs to suppliers and internal costs we have incurred which we can quantify) and which we cannot reasonably recover at the time of cancellation.  Please refer to our COVID related Cancellation policy above.

Travel Insurance

It is a condition of booking that you are adequately insured (at your own cost) for the full duration of their tour arrangements in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. SWT will not be responsible for inadequate travel insurance in the event of any insurance claims. You must provide us with the policy number for your insurance policy and the phone number and name of your emergency contact prior to travel.

Single Supplement

When travelling alone a great way to keep your costs down and make new friends is to be prepared to share a room with another traveller.  We are unable to guarantee that your room mate will be of a similar age group or personality but it can be an enjoyable way to travel and could mean the start of a great friendship.  Of course if you prefer a room to yourself the single supplement will apply. If we are unable to find you a room mate the single supplement will apply which you agree to pay.  SWT does not warrant that we will be able to find you a room-mate and takes no responsibility for any mismatch of passengers. SWT will not be liable for any additional charges incurred for changing room configuration whilst on tour.

Health & Immigration

You are responsible for all visa, passport, immigration, quarantine, customs, health and other requirements of the countries visited or transited. If travelling on an Australian passport you will need at least 6 months validity on your passport taken from the date of re-entry into Australia.  If you are travelling under any other passport please advise at the time of booking. Sisterhood Womens Travel will not be held responsible for any incorrect re-entry visas for non-Australian passport holders.  SWT is happy to offer assistance with visas (additional charges may apply). Please note that passport and visa requirements are the responsibility of you the traveller and SWT take no responsibility for failure to comply with the provided advice.

COVID Health Responsibility (Added 24 November 2020)

You are responsible for your own health prior to joining any of our tours/mini breaks/events.  You must not be showing ANY flu-like signs or symptoms in the 14 days prior to your departure.  If a Sisterhood representative (our Tour Hostess) believes you are showing flu-like signs or symptoms prior to your tour departure you will not be able to join our group and no responsibility will be taken for any loss of tour monies paid.  Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance.

Hand Sanitiser and Masks will be available on all Sisterhood tours/mini breaks/events.  It is also recommended you bring your own personal supply.  SWT will adhere to any COVID-safe guidelines that are in place at the time of departure and a COVID-19 Safe Plan will be included in all documentation.  These guidelines may change due to tour departure dates and current Government guidelines.

Names as per Passports

When booking on any tour, it is imperative that you provide SWT with your full correct name as per your passport and a copy of your passport for international tours and photo identification for domestic tours. SWT will not be held liable for any expenses incurred for incorrect names advised.

Consular Advice

Official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by contacting 1300 444135 or visiting their website www.dfat.gov.au. We recommend that you review this information both prior to making your booking and prior to departure.

Limitation of liability

SWT, its employees and agents act only as an agent for the suppliers of the travel arrangements. Subject to these Terms, to the fullest extent permitted by law SWT disclaims responsibility and exclude liability for injury, death, damage, loss or claims arising directly or indirectly from acts or omissions by suppliers or from accidents, loss or damage to person or property, delays, changes in schedules, transport failures, strikes, wars, uprisings, acts of God or other causes over which SWT, its employees and agents have no control.  Australian Consumer Law and corresponding legislation in other jurisdictions in certain circumstances imply mandatory conditions and warranties into agreements (“Consumer Warranties”). This clause does not exclude or limit the application of any Consumer Warranties or other warranties where to do so would contravene the law of the relevant jurisdiction or cause any part of this clause to be void. Other than the Consumer Warranties, you hereby waive and SWT hereby disclaims all warranties whether written or oral, express or implied.  The liability of SWT is to the fullest extent permitted by law limited to arranging for the travel arrangements to be provided again or payment of the cost of having the travel arrangements resupplied, the choice of which is at the option of SWT.

General Conditions

These Terms represent the entire agreement between the client and Sisterhood Womens Travel.  If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or in any way unenforceable, it shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired and these Terms shall be construed so as to most nearly give effect to the parties intentions at the time when SWT confirmed its acceptance of the relevant booking. All matters in respect of or arising under these Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and the courts of Victoria shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to determine all claims arising in respect of or arising under these Terms.
