An exert of a Senorita’s diary when travelling with Sisters to Spain and Portugal:
Hola! We are in Barcelona – this beautiful cosmopolitan city is giving Paris a run for its money.
We take a city tour, marvel at how quirky but brilliant architecture of Antoni Gaudi underpins the soul of this city.
We take part in a paella class like no other. Wine in hand and the juke box cranked up full blast, how could it not be fabulous?
The day is rounded off with some delicious tapa in the company of a great bunch of new friends.
We traverse northern Spain enjoying the everchanging landscapes dotted with invitingly quaint villages, vineyards and or course the obligatory wine tasting.
Zaragoza dwarfs us with its history and monumental cathedrals. We fall in love with San Sebastian, a cosmopolitan city on the Atlantic Ocean.
We venture high into the Picos de Europa where the mountain air is exhilarating and take a short trek to enjoy Mother Nature showing off!
Portugal, we love you! Porto – thank you for your vibrance and for putting on a naval festival just for us. Coimbra – home of the first university in Europe – you delight us with your history as we feel the current student life around us.
Joao Batalha – you are the master of the Pastel de Nata. And then there’s Lisbon, a city with such a big heart.
We pop back into Spain – move over Dancing with the Stars, we are on the floor dancing up a flamenco storm! Thank you, ladies, for throwing yourselves into this immersive activity in beautiful Sevilla.
The best is kept for last – the exquisite Alhambra in Granada, the opulence of the Royal Palace in Madrid and beautiful Toledo…. Ahhh!
Before we know it, our wonderful tour has come to an end. We spend every possible minute together before heading to the airport, knowing the bonds we have formed with each other are here to stay.
