After meeting at Spencer St, we boarded our little pink bus with luggage in tow. First stop was Werribee Mansion, a palatial home with magnificent gardens, and the added bonus was a visit from some Australian animals from Werribee Zoo. It wasn’t long til we got to Seaview House, our home for 2 nights. Historical and cosy, we had the whole place to ourselves! A beautiful dinner by the sea, everyone was making new friends; lots of connections made, with lots in common. The bay was beautifully flat and the sun was shining for our ferry trip on Saturday, to Sorrento and back.

The focus of the weekend was the Blues Train that night. Dinner first, then we swapped carriages every 30 minutes with a different band/artist in each of the 4 carriages. Lots of fun, a bit of dancing and singing along with a couple of wines. Great to jump in Rosa, our bus, to get back to beds on this cold, windy night. Pt. Lonsdale lighthouse and then Ocean Grove for lunch on our way home, the weather Gods had smiled on us. Having come away not knowing anyone, we made new friends and had a fun, mini adventure together.
