Day 1 Tuesday 8 September 2020

Melbourne - San Remo (D)

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Meet your hostess and fellow travellers in Melbourne CBD on the corner of Londsdale and Spencer Streets, opposite Southern Cross Train Station. Sit back, relax and enjoy your coach ride as we head towards Phillip Island.

On arrival into San Remo we will stop for a break at the San Remo Pier and witness the daily Pelican Feeding. The majestic pelicans and seaguls gather at the pier for their daily serve of fish. You may find a pelican coming over to you looking for some lunch! As the pelicans waddle up to the shore, we'll able to get up close as there are no formal barriers.

The fish and chips shop nearby has the freshest produce for us to enjoy an early lunch.

From there we'll continue to the southern coast of Phillip Island to visit Pyramid Rock. Pyramid Rock is a triangle-shaped rock island. We'll stroll down the viewing platforms to enjoy its striking silhouette set against the waters of Bass Strait. It is an easy and enjoyable boardwalk stroll to the spectacular coastal views.

On our way to our accommodation, we'll make a delicious stop and take a tour at Phillip Islands Chocolate factory. Panny’s Amazing World of Chocolate is a celebration of all things chocolate with interactive machines, fascinating facts, delicious chocolates to try and chocolatiers working away. Any of us with a sweet tooth are sure to be satisfied.

Then we'll head to our luxury resort to check in for our 3 night stay.

We will regroup in the evening to enjoy a 3 course dinner at Watermark, the resorts floor to ceiling window Restaurant.

Overnight - Silverwater Resort (or similar)

Set high on the hills above San Remo, this Phillip Island Resort offers stunnnig panoramic views over San Remo and the Bass coast and has both a heated indoor pool and a solar-heated outdoor pool with a spa pool, lit tennis courts, bocce court, lounge & bar, indoor-outdoor restaurant and a table tennis room.

Day 2 Wednesday 9 September 2020

Phillip Island (B)

After breaksast at the resort we head to Phillip Islands Grand Prix Circuit for a fun and adrenaline fuelled morning. The smooth curves and super-fast straight of this unique go kart track are strung along some of the most breathtaking coastline on the Island with rolling hills, rugged cliffs, and ocean to horizon. We'll be given a briefing before being strapped into our single or tandem Go Kart on the 750 metre scale replica of the circuit. Go at your own pace or unleash your competitive streak.

**For this activity you must have enclosed footwear, clothing that covers the shoulders and no loose clothing items (e.g. scarves)**

After the race we slow the pace with a drive to Churchill Island. We'll take a step back in time and explore the tranquil scenery of Churchill Island’s extensive heritage farm grounds and beautiful gardens. Churchill Island was the site of the first farm in Victoria and its pioneering history is still evident today in the restored 1850s homestead, original cottages and beautiful heritage gardens and orchards. We'll enjoy lunch at the local cafe (own expense).

This afternoon is at leisure at our resort to use its' facilities: perhaps take a dip in one of the 2 resort pools, sweat in the steam room, or be active on the tennis courts or the gym or just have a rest overlooking the ocean views.

In the evening we'll be transferred to one of Victoria's major tourist draws, The Pengiuin Parade!  The parade of little penguins showcases the world’s smallest, and probably cutest, penguins. We'll view the interactive displays and amphitheatres that hold up to 3800 spectators who come to see the little fellas just after sunset as they waddle from the sea to their land-based nests. After the parade, we'll hang around the boardwalks for a closer view as the stragglers search for their burrows and mates. **Bring warm clothing, and take note there's strictly no photography or videoing**

Overnight - Silverwater Resort (or similar)

Day 3 Thursday 10 September 2020

Phillip Island (B)

This morning after breakfast we head off to visit the spectacular headland at the Nobbies. Overlooking Seal Rocks it is Australia’s largest colony of fur seals. We'll walk along the network of boardwalks to view the seal colony, The Nobbies, and The Blowhole. Then we enter the Nobbies multimedia centre, home to the exciting Antarctic Journey multimedia attraction where we can take a virtual journey to the world's most remote continent.

From there we'll continue to Maze N Things, to unleash the child within us all. We enter an exciting world of magic, optical illusions, mazes and puzzles that entertain and amuse. We will also test our skills and cometitive streak on the landscaped Maxi Mini Golf, which got its name because it has 19 holes.

This afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the beach, bazaars, galleries & shops at Cowes, the main seaside township on Phillip Island.

We will regroup early in the evening and share our farewell dinner at one of the local restaurants. (own expense)

Overnight - Silverwater Resort (or similar)

Day 4 Friday 11 September 2020

Phillip Island - Melbourne (B,L)

This is our last morning on the beautiful Phillip Island. After breakfast and check out we'll be transferred to Phillip Island Koala Reserve to meet their fury koalas ‘face to face’ from the amazing treetop boardwalks at this unique ecotourism attraction. This area of natural bushland is also home to an amazing variety of birds and wildlife.

Before heading back to Melbourne, we'll make a stop at Phillip Island Winery for wine tasting and a shared lunch.

We will arrive back in Melbourne at Southern Cross Station at approximately 4.30pm and farewell our coach and our newly made friends.

We thank you for travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel and we look forward to welcoming you back for your next adventure!
