Day 1 - Sunday 11 September 2022

Melbourne - Vancouver - Toronto (Meals in flight, D)

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel!  Meet your Sisterhood Tour Hostess and fellow travellers at Melbourne Airport for our flight to Toronto via Vancouver.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment as we head towards Canada.  Upon arrival into Toronto we'll be transferred to our hotel.

A welcome dinner is included!

Day 2 - Monday 12 September 2022

Toronto (B)

This morning we will be collected from the hotel for the half day City Tour of Toronto.  See the sights of Canada’s largest and most diverse city. Highlights include the business district, Chinatown, Old and New City Halls, Ontario Legislative Buildings, the Skydome stadium, Casa Loma, the harbourfront, Yorkville shopping area. Included today is the admission at the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the world, for incredible views over Toronto.

The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 - Tuesday 13 September 2022

Toronto - Niagara Falls (B)

This morning after breakfast we will depart for Niagara Falls.  Travel along the shores of Lake Ontario on the Niagara Parkway to the historic town of Niagara-on-the Lake. After a brief stop to visit this quaint little town, we will proceed to Niagara Falls for a short orientation tour of the area.  Highlights include; the Floral Clock and the Whirlpool Rapids.  Stop at Table Rocky Promenade for great views of the falls.  

The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 4 - Wednesday 14 September 2022

Niagara Falls (B)

This morning depart on a walking tour of the falls.  Enjoy a cruise on the Hornblower as the boat passes directly in front of the American Falls, Rock of Ages and Cave of the Winds and then enters the Canadian Horseshoe Falls for a spectacular view of the Falls.  Also included is Niagara SkyWheel. 

The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy one of the many museum’s or gardens.

Day 5 - Thursday 15 September 2022

Niagara Falls - Toronto - Charlotte Town

An early start, we will be met and transferred from Niagara Falls to Toronto Airport for the onward flight to Charlotte Town.

Upon arrival into Charlotte Town, we will met and taken on a city tour of Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation.  See Victoria Row, Confederation Centre of the Arts, the waterfront area and more.

Day 6 - Friday 16 September 2022

Charlotte Town (B)

Today there will be plenty of time to explore some key parts of this island province on the North Shore.  Drive  by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic books.  There’ll be plenty of time to stroll on the beach and learn some of the history behind the beloved Anne with an “e” and make other stops of interest to enhance the day.

Day 7 - Saturday 17 September 2022

Charlotte Town - Baddeck (B)

Today we take the ferry over the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America, via the Canso Causeway.  Visit Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to learn of the many interests and inventions, spanning airplanes and kites to deaf education and artificial respiration.

Day 8 - Sunday 18 September 2022

Cabot Trail (B)

Today we experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America today as you tour the Cabot Trail which winds around the rocky splendour of Cape Breton’s northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.  Many picture stops will be made throughout the day for unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton’s rugged coastline so be sure to have your camera on hand.

Day 9 - Monday 19 September 2022

Baddeck - Cape Bretton Island - Halifax (B)

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits today and words cannot do justice to this reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France.  Roam the streets and chat with authentically costumed guides.  Proceed along the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake to the mainland, and on to Halifax for a brief city tour of the downtown core and waterfront.  Halifax is one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World.

Day 10 - Tuesday 20 September 2022

South Shore (B)

Today we travel the rugged south shore of Nova Scotia, to world famous Peggy’s Cove.  This graceful lighthouse sits high upon the smooth wave-worn granite of the coast and is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world.  See picturesque Mahone Bay, with the line of 3 elegant churches gracing the sheltered harbour, then on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, one of Nova Scotia’s most historic and beautiful towns and home of the Bluenose II.  Visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage.

Day 11 - Wednesday 21 September 2022

Halifax - Digby (B)

This morning we depart Halifax for the lush Annapolis Valley and learn about the French Acadians who established their first settlement in the early 1600’s at Grand Pre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Learn about the fact and fiction that blend to reveal the romance of the Land of Evangeline.  Visit a local winery for a tour and tasting then continue to Annapolis Royal to see the Historic Gardens.  Travel to Digby, the scallop capital of the world, where the fresh sea air and passionate Acadian culture combine to form an enchanting and historically rich town.

Day 12 - Thursday 22 September 2022

Digby - Halifax (B)

Today visit Bear River, less than 20 minutes from Digby and one of the most charming villages in Atlantic Canada.  The river itself rises and falls about 25 feet twice a day thanks to the tides of the Bay of Fundy.  This town on stilts has centuries old colourful buildings and attracts all sorts of artists and craftspeople.  Head to Hall’s Harbour, a small fishing community on the Bay of Fundy known for its extreme tides, and enjoy a unique and informative tour of the Lobster Pound en-route to Halifax.  On arrival in Halifax, take a stroll through the Public Gardens, one of the finest surviving examples of a Victorian garden in North America.

Day 13 - Friday 23 September 2022

Halifax (B,D)

Today’s sightseeing tour allows us to delve deeper into the history of Halifax to experience the city through the eyes of a local, both on land and water.  Our tour includes the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Citadel Hills and Fisherman’s Cove. 

Visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on the waterfront to discover the stories, events and people that have come to define Nova Scotia and its relationship with the sea.  The Halifax Citadel’s star shaped architecture is equally as impressive from the inside and out.  Step back in time with the 78th Highlanders and the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery to learn what it was like for the soldiers and their families to live and work in this historic fort.  Travel across one of two bridges that connects Halifax and Dartmouth and visit Fisherman’s Cove in Eastern Passage.  Stroll the picturesque boardwalk and visit the many shops offering delicious food, Maritime crafts, local paintings, unique folk art, and souvenirs to bring home. 

This evening step aboard the Harbour Queen I for a unique and unforgettable dining experience.

Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner and two-hour cruise along the beautiful and picturesque Halifax harbourside.  There will be light commentary on points of interest along the way! The Harbour Queen is equipped with a fully licensed bar (additional expense).

Day 14 - Saturday 24 September 2022

Halifax - Montreal (B)

This morning we will be met and transferred to Halifax Airport for the onward flight to Montreal.

Upon arrival into Montreal, we will met and transferred to the hotel for a three night stay including breakfasts.  Remainder of the day is at own leisure.

Day 15 - Sunday 25 September 2022

Montreal (B)

After breakfast we will  board a chartered coach for a mix of walking and coach city tour of Montreal with a local English speaking guide.  Highlights include Notre Dame Basilica (admission included), old Montreal with its cobbled streets and outdoor restaurants, the old port, McGill University, Mount Royal viewpoint, St Joseph Oratory, Westmount residential area then via the shopping street of St Catherine.  This afternoon, visit the Montréal Biodôme.  After undergoing extensive renovations, the Montréal Biodôme is now more immersive, more current, and just as fascinating as ever, with five ecosystems of the Americas under one roof.   A fascinating nature walk through a living environment that delivers a new experience every time you visit!

Day 16 - Monday 26 September 2022

Montreal - Quebec City Day Excursion (B)

Today we will enjoy a full day excursion to Quebec City.  Drive along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River to reach the beautiful city of Quebec.  Arrival in time for lunch (not included) followed by a city tour with a local guide.  Quebec City has much to offer of historical and cultural significance. We will see the historic walled city, the fort, the Chateau Frontenac, the old port and the Quebec Parliament buildings. Enjoy the views over the St. Lawrence River from the Dufferin Terraces and take time to explore the colourful streets and stores.  Late afternoon return to Montreal.

Today we will be met and transferred to Montreal Airport for the return flight to Australia via Vancouver
