Day 1 - Thursday 10 September 2020

Melbourne - Darwin

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel.  Meet your Tour Hostess and fellow travellers at the Melbourne Aiport for your flight to Darwin.  Upon arrival we are transferd to our central Darwin hotel.  Later in the afternoon we will enjoy a visit to the famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market (transport not included), with over 200 unique stalls including 60 food stalls, the market is a cultural melting pot of food, arts and culture.

Day 2 - Friday 11 September 2020

Darwin (B,D)

A free day at leisure to enjoy the sights of Darwin on the hop on hop off Darwin explorer bus (included), explore the Botanic Gardens, Military Museum, Crocosaurus Cove and much more.  Later this afternoon we will re gourp for a Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Darwin Harbour, enjoy the cool breeze as we take in the sights sights and enjoy the amazing top end sunset.

Day 3 - Saturday 12 September 2020

Darwin - Kakadu (B,L)

An early start this morning as we depart Darwin for Kakadu.  Firstly we will cruise on the Adelaide River. Later, travel into Kakadu National Park, home to a myriad of animals and hundreds of bird species. Stop at the Bowali Visitor Centre, and then continue to Ubirr. Climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries to the lookout for a spectacular view over Kakadu.

Day 4 - Sunday 13 September 2020

Kakadu - Katherine (B,L)

This morning we’ll be mesmerised as we explore the renowned Nourlangie rock art site, which had provided shelter to Indigenous people for millennia. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre for an insight into the local Bininj culture. Later, join a local guide for a cruise to experience the dramatic scenery on Yellow Water Billabong. Kakadu’s most famous wetland is home to saltwater crocodiles and dozens of species of colourful birdlife. Before arriving in Katherine, stop at Leliyn (Edith Falls), whose pandanus-fringed natural pool is suitable for swimming throughout most of the year (conditions permitting).

Day 5 - Monday 14 September 2020

Katherine - Darwin (B)

Enjoy a morning cruise through Katherine Gorge, a stunning network of thirteen gorges carved from billion-year-old sandstone. We’ll be at its heart among freshwater crocodiles wonderful birdlife and amazing scenery. Later, view the displays at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre, where you may purchase artefacts handmade by the Jawoyn people. Return to Darwin, stopping at historic gold mining town of Pine Creek and the poignant Adelaide River War Cemetery, arriving back into Darwin in the evening.

Day 6 - Tuesday 15 September 2020

Darwin - Home (B)

This morning we have a chance for some last minute shopping or sightseeing  before transferring to the  Airport to check in for our homeward flight to Melbourne arriving in late afternoon.  Thank you for travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel and we look forward to welcoming you back for your next adventure.
